Mt Penang Parklands opened a permanent year-round off-leash dog area in February 2016. Converted from a horse agistment paddock, the area allows locals and their companions to meet and brings the community closer together. This space can be accessed off Parklands Rd and McCabe Rd in the Parklands. Dogs must be restrained by a leash outside of this defined off-leash area at all times.
Sponsorship is being sought to fund amenities for the off-leash area including, secured fencing, litter bin and bag dispenser, seating, water tap with tub and shelter area. Anyone interested should contact 4340 1002 or email MtPenang@hccdc.nsw.gov.au.
